My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parrots First has been asked to rehome a very special Blue and Gold macaw. Sailor is about 8-9 years old and was taken from a commercial garage where he was found to be undernourished and sick.
Sailor had a prolapsed cloaca and has undergone extensive reconstructive surgery. Sailor has done very well since the procedure.
He is also missing toes, part of his wing and has allergies to dander even his own.
Sailor will need a very special home with no other birds to aggravate his allergies.
Despite all he has gone through Sailor has learned basic step up commands and loves to dance and speak.

July updateSailor is still looking for the right home to call his own. Sailor is a happy and for a macaw pretty quiet guy. He does have allergies and could not go in a home where there are dusty birds such as toos or greys.
If you have always wanted a macaw in your life Sailor may be the one.
