Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Madame Eglantine is a precious black and white domestic longhair girl, possibly with some Maine Coon, but with definite personality. She has her name because she looks like the prioress in the Canterbury Tales with her black and white.
She has the most amazing eyes. One is blue with a little bit of gold in it and the other is gold. I've never seen this coloration before.
Like her namesake, Madame Eglantine is a very gentle soul with beautiful manners. This poor 10 year old girl was dumped at a high-kill shelter. Before she goes home, she will have a comprehensive Veterinary appointment including full blood work. We are hoping to get a sponsor for her at the current time. If you are interested in sponsoring her, please contact us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com.
She gets along very well with other cats, and would do well in a multi-cat home, or she would be very happy in a home without cats.
Her adoption fee, as she is a senior, is $100. Her adoption fee in our senior for seniors program is $75 for any person over the age of 55. If you are interested in adopting her, please email us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com for an application. She is in a foster home and Ennis, Texas.
Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.
Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
