My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pebbles! Pebbles is new to Canines & Company, but we're already loving getting to know all about her. Pebbles is an Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog who we're told was imported from Australia itself by her previous owners. She was surrendered to our rescue because she was proving to be too much for her previous home, although we aren't noticing any traits about her that aren't true to her breed. She warms up to new people fairly quickly, as long as there is a butt-rub involved and she very much enjoys her walks outside and meeting polite dogs that don't overwhelm her.

Pebbles is currently in a training program with our partnered facility, Found Chicago Boarding and Training Center. She is making tons of new friends and we are starting to see her true personality come through. Pebbles has great wiggles when she's in the mood and is starting to play with some dog friends. She is very intelligent and sensitive, which is common in herding dogs. Pebbles is starting to show great eye contact and work ethic and we are excited to see her grow and learn in training. She would flourish with a family who is familiar with the breed and enjoys an active and inclusive lifestyle with their dog.

We will continue to update this profile as we get to know Pebbles. For more information about her, please email brittney@caninesandcompany.org.
