My story:
My name is Abby, and let me tell you a story! I was rescued and adopted many years ago after spending time in a shelter, but more recently I have found myself back at LEASH at no fault of my own. Luckily, I am getting comfortable in my new foster home, and have come to enjoy spending time with their other dogs while finding lots of cozy places to relax.
As a more senior gal, I really know myself well. I like to have lots of space when I’m resting or eating, and large commotions can give me a fright! I love to snuggle into blankets and soft pillows whenever I can. At this point I’m not a big fan of long walks, but I’ll venture outside with you on a shorter one. I also need time and patience when building relationships with new people. I tend to gravitate more towards other dogs first, but if you give me the time and space I need I’ll be cuddling on your lap in no time!
Perfect Match: A calm, mature home, hopefully with another nice dog I can be friends with.
Fun Quirk: I love to lie in the sunshine. (I think that’s why I have such a nice tan!).
Guilty Pleasure: Eating people food from a fork at the table! (I got to do that once when I was feeling nervous. It definitely helped).
