My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

10-month-old Buddy was found abandoned at 6 weeks old by side of road in Mexico. He had
a rough start with early-stage distemper and a serious body infection. He was admitted into the vet hospital in Mexico for 3 weeks to help save his life, and his life was saved. Now all he needs is a home to call his own here in Canada.

He is a really sweet and kind dog. He loves all other dogs and is very friendly and kind to all dogs he meets.

He absolutely adores belly rubs and will roll over and stay there even after you walk away - so hopeful you'll be back shortly with more!

He likes to steal toilet paper right off the roll... and he'll happily eat it thinking it's a terrific snack in his day.

He enjoys being with his humans and will be a bit velcro to them but is also good to be independent when needed. He'll keep himself entertained with some great chewing toys.

He is a calm, playful, charming boy who we believe will be an easy-going type of dog when he grows up. He is not growing very fast so he is probably going to be on the small/medium size.

He can be a bit of a talker when he gets excited or when he's playing. He is crate trained but will need basic obedience training. Some Petsmart training classes with this boy will be beneficial to him and his adopter and a great bonding experience.

Important to note, that due to Buddy's early puppy distemper, his back legs are a bit awkward when trying to get up on higher items, such as the couch or a bed. His back legs lack some strength and don't always follow the direction Buddy is telling them, but nothing incredibly noticeable beyond what his family will know.

This boy survived distemper, which many puppies do not. He is lucky to be alive and deserves to find a home to call his own.
