Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nina is a little shiny diamond-in-the-ruff. Her cuteness bursts out in a her prancey walk, sweet smiles, and adoration of toys! Once all her sniffing is done, she gets little silly playful spells and shows her youthful side. Tho a little bossy with some dogs, she can come around and play well with the right companion to teach her. This little beauty needs a home to give her just the right polish.

The adoption fee for dogs includes vaccinations (DA2PLP+CV, Bordatella, Rabies) spaying/neutering, heartworm check, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea preventative, and microchip.

The adoption fee for cats includes a full exam (feleck/FIV tested, FVRCP), spaying/ neutering, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative.

If you wish to adopt a pet you will need to fill out an adoption application. You can either pick one up at the shelter or email the shelter to request an application be emailed to you.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips.

Our mission is

**To provide the pets in our care with a decent, safe and sanitary place;

**To stop suffering among animals mutilated or injured;
**To educate the public about the tremendous pet over-population facing the United States;
