My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Copper and I'm more than enough hound to go around. I'm a pretty quiet guy - unlike those howlers you may associate with my breed. You know, the ones who sound like they come with their own loud speaker system. I seldom bark and howling ... well, that's for those more obnoxious fellows. (I think they may have a complex they are compensating for.)

I'm a loving fellow. Well mannered, you might say. A real gentleman. (Am I right, ladies?) A gentle touch of my paw on your knee will let you know I need pats. (Yeah, that's my move.)

I'm not the most energetic fellow, but I'm always ready for a good play with my buddies. Mostly, I like to recline on a soft bed, couch or, in a pinch even a dog bed. (Mmmmm, soft.) I like my walks, but one a day will do, thank you.

As good looking and as cool a dude as I am (Again, am I right, ladies?), I do have my quirks. Although I am good with other dogs, I prefer to live alone because I want your full attention and affection. (Again ... you get it.)

My last owner had to give me up because her human family was getting bigger. Well, that's what she told me. I'm sure it's true because she rescued me after I spent 3 years in Regina as a veterinarian training dog. That was awful ... I mean, have you ever been to Regina? (Is this mic on?) Anyway, I've done my service and now it's time to fully retire into a nice soft life. Right now I'm in a lovely foster home with other dogs. We pretty much have the run of the place, but I need my forever home. Get in touch with Home At Last so you can meet me.
