My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Semo. I am 5 months old girl and I weigh approximately 10 kg. I am a Jindo/Labrador Retriever mix recently rescued from an illegal dog farm located in Paju, Korea. Owner of this dog farm decided to build an illegal dog farm on an empty lot owned by a local real estate development company.

Inside this evil dog farm, many of my families and other furry friends lost their lives to people who love to eat us. Unfortunately, there are still many Koreans who loves and swear by dog meat. I am still having a difficult time understanding why people want to eat us? I have same feelings as people do. Why do people want to torture and slaughter us for food?

Exactly a month ago, development company issued an eviction notice to the dog farm owner and he was forced to vacate. Owner had less than a week to vacate. He sold all adult canines including my mother to local slaughterhouses. All of them now crossed the rainbow bridge. I was one of the three puppies that was rescued by individual rescuers with a help of one of the employees of development company.

All of us are presently with fosters in Korea. However, some of us need to find a home as soon as possible because fosters can’t keep us for a long time. I am looking for a pet parent who will love me forever. If you can promise me you will take good care of me for the rest of my life then please reach out to aunties at Joey & Bailey.
