My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Charlie
YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.

12 pound, 3 year old Charlie was taken in to the groomer and, for some reason, his owner abandoned him so he is in need of a new family now. As you can see, he has a pretty new haircut. His fur is very soft and should be non shedding. As you can see from his tail, his fur is very long when allowed to be natural.

We are not sure what breed mix he is but he is certainly some type of beautiful designer dog.

Charlie is a friendly, happy boy who enjoys making new friends. He has plenty of confidence and is not shy in new places or with new people.

He has a lot of spunk and is an active, playful young dog. He loves to run and would really enjoy a fenced yard to play in.

Charlie LOVES toys, especially plush ones and likes to fetch tossed ones. He will come running back to you or jump up on the nearest chair to settle down with his prize. Do not expect him to hand over that prize though since he loves to hang onto his toys. He was probably taught to do a fun game of wrestle and tug with his toys so he has no idea what the drop command means. He does that silly playful growly thing when you tug at the toy in his mouth, but he does not really act possessive, just really likes tug and also winning tug! He is perfectly fine playing growly tug while rolling around on your lap or sharing a chair or sofa with you.

He may not want to share his toys with another dog and he would be perfectly happy as an only dog. We have not dog tested him yet but he is calm and just goes about his business when he sees another nice dog across a fence line.

Charlie loves walks and is used to the leash. He should have good daily walks in his new home since he is active and young.

Charlie has had no accidents in his kennel but will probably need some housetraining in his new home. The use of a belly band right at first will help ensure a smooth training without accidents.

This feisty little guy is very smart and trainable. He learns new stuff quickly and is adaptable. We have not asked the groomer yet how he is with grooming but he definitely will hold still for eye cleaning and such when it is clear to him it is time to take care of that instead of bouncing around playing.

Adoption donation $250.
