5/26/2019 - My name is Chevy - no longer accepting applications
Chevy: EST DOB: 2/7/2018, Boxer, female, 40 pounds, house trained, NO dogs, NO cats
Chevy is a super sweet pup that is now ready to find her forever family. This beautiful girl is described as “very calm and laid back for a boxer” by her foster. She loves lounging around the house and being with people. Chevy LOVES children and does great with them. She is in a foster home with 4 children that have lots of visiting friends and Chevy seeks them out just to hang out. If you can not find her, she will be curled up in bed with one of the kids. Chevy loves squeaky toys and collects them all up into her bed. When not hanging around the house, Chevy enjoys going for a daily walk with her foster mom. She is doing well with leash training, but will still pull some when she sees a squirrel. Chevy will visit with other pups as they pass by. Even though Chevy enjoys meeting new pups on the street, she will need to be the only dog. She is very dominate in her home. She likes all the attention to be on herself. Chevy has excellent manners around the house. She never chews anything that is not hers. She is completely house trained.
Chevy was pulled from a high kill shelter in Alabama. She was owner surrender because she became very sick and her owners could not afford to take her to the vet. When Chevy was taken into rescue, the vet said she had only days to live without treatment. Chevy was diagnosed with pneumonia and hospitalized for treatment. She was extremely emaciated because she could no longer eat. Today, Chevy is doing great and loving life. She is now ready for her second chance at a happy ending.
