Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Chevy, just a sweet, polite, little lady looking for a forever home. Her lifelong owner and companion got sick and unfortunately had to surrender her. When the family brought her in it was immediately obvious that poor Chevy was lost and heart broken. Animal Heartline took her into a foster home and promised her that we would find her the perfect family.
A little bit about Chevy - she is 7 years old and 65 pounds of pure love and snuggles. She has pretty low energy, excellent house manners and is happy in or out of a crate all day. With the right doggy companion, Chevy can be active and playful and has gotten along with every dog she has met. She even lives in foster care with a little Dachshund sister.
Chevy’s foster Mom wants everyone to know that the best thing about her is how very smart she is. They have been working on lots of commands and Chevy is eager to train. She knows come, sit, stay, leave it, take it, go to place, paw, back, out (of the kitchen mostly), Up and Off the couch. . .on walks they are working on left / right and wait to cross. There is no limit to what she can learn.
Her foster mom just loves her to death because she is just so calm and easy. The only drawback with Chevy is that she takes a little while to warm up to strangers. it may take 2-3 visits to get to know her. And, if you want to adopt Chevy, a quieter household would be best or a special place Chevy can hang out when strangers come by. Chevy had been good with all dogs, cats and kids she has met.
