Wilma is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so she is willing to move north for a good loving forever home.
Wilma and her two pups were turned out to run loose on the streets when their humans no longer wanted them. A kind neighbor rescued them and brought them to us. Wilma looks like a Chihuahua/Pug mix. She weighs 17 pounds and we were told she is around 3 years of age. Wilma is is a very friendly, sweet and playful. She is a happy dog and loves everyone. She is a lap dog and likes to sit with you on the couch. Wilma loves to play with toys and other dogs, and likes to run zoomies when she gets excited. Wilma is crate trained, and doing well with house-training. Some additional training may be needed. Wilma is small and must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that can hurt her She must also be protected from outdoor predators and large raptors that would consider her dinner. Wilma must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash would like a secure fenced yard to run and play.
Wilma is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Wilma is negative for heartworms and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Wilma has a $500.00 adoption fee that includes ground transport to Rocky Hill, Lisbon, or Danbury CT. She will not be sent north until after she is adopted.
