Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shayne is a 1-year-old neutered male chocolate lab. Shayne weighs 73 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
Shayne is a strong block head boy. He does well with an ez walk harness. He is not fond of wire crates but is doing very well in a large plastic airline crate and is house trained. He is good with other dogs but can come on a bit strong sometimes. He is doing well at his foster/trainer and will have a training addendum to continue learning and growing. No cats or chickens for this boy as he likes to chase them. He likes the water too! He needs a fenced yard.
UPDATE: Sweet Shayne is making friends in his new foster! At first no one would play with him as he is a big ol' boy and intimidating but then they realized that he is just a big old goofy teddy bear! His FM and FD call him Scooby as he is so goofy! Shayne is crate trained but does good for shorty times and sometimes overnight out of the crate. He is house trained and rides well. He walks well with an EZ Walk harness. He is loving life at his foster but would love his own active family to love!
He doesn't realize his size (he is a big boy!) so dog parks and little dogs are probably not a good idea - but he is truly a sweetheart! He met the big dogs at his foster with no issue and played well with another big dog like him. He loves being with his people from being your shadow while doing yard work to going on walks and saying hello to the neighbors, to just laying around - he has his own love seat which he has claimed! He is certainly one handsome fella! He knows sit and stay and is house broken. We don't crate him and he sleeps thru the night. If you are looking for one really big hunk of chocolate - he is your boy!!
