My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Heidi! This sweetheart is a 5-month old, female pup who loves people, other dogs and LIFE! She was raised with small children and knows how to settle down and temper her energy (as long as she gets an opportunity to get out her “puppy ya-ya’s” first). Heidi is good on a leash and knows how to potty outside. She sleeps in her crate with no whining overnight and is a total cuddle-bug. After play time with her doggie pals, Heidi is always ready to snuggle up next to you on the sofa and watch a little TV. Her favorite shows include Game of Thrones (don’t ask), MTV Cribs (don’t ask) and The Real Housewives (don’t judge). She has been in a foster home while she completes her puppy shots and gets spayed. She is now up to date on everything and looking for her forever home!

Heidi’s ideal home is moderately active with a fenced yard and a family who is prepared to give her the time and attention she needs as a young dog. She is very sweet and social and is eager to please, so her foster mom has no doubt she could excel as an emotional support dog, a go-with-you to work dog, or just a regular family pet who gets showered with all the love she deserves!

Heidi is currently 32 lbs and still growing. Her mom was medium sized and we don’t know about dad, but it looks like Heidi will not get any bigger than 45-50 lbs as an adult. We aren’t exactly sure about Heidi’s breed; but she has a gorgeous, soft, red and white coat and is fairly low-shed so she’ll definitely turn heads at the dog park!

To learn more about Heidi or to get an adoption application, please email Kathryn at kajones42003@yahoo.com. Heidi is currently in a foster home in Lytle, Texas and is available through Lytle Animal Allies, a 501(c)3 non-profit. She can be transported to your area once adopted. The adoption fee is $185 plus the cost of transport (if required).
