*PLEASE READ:

If you're interested in adopting, which includes an adoption trial, please go to our website, review the ADOPTION PROCESS PAGE  and complete the  DOG ADOPTION APPLICATION or CAT APPLICATION. The application is important and necessary to find the right fit for you and your family.

Meet Penne!

All the great things:

Penne is part of the pasta puppies litter!  She is a total mush and wants to be loved by everyone, including her fellow canine brother and sister.  If you are looking for a pup to curl up next to you while you watch Netflix or read a good book then she is your gal.  She's also happy being outside; as long as she can give you love!

She is doing great with potty training too, no accidents in the house.  We are thinking she will be approximately 35-40 pounds as an adult

If you are interested in meeting Penne, please visit RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org to read our Adoption Process page and complete the Dog Adoption Application.  We are looking forward to helping you find the newest member of your family!

Adoption Fee: $165.00

All of our Adoptables are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested (and kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program) and microchipped prior to adoption.

**PUPPIES: If interested in adopting a puppy, please think on whether or not you are able to let the puppy out at least every four hours for potty training and commit to spending time on basic obedience training (preferably professional training classes) and socialization with other animals and people. Puppies are not fully house trained, but working on crate training in their foster homes.

*Please understand that applications will be considered before any general inquiries due to limited time and resources. We are a foster based rescue.

**PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. All fosters/adopters must have a fenced yard or be willing and able to walk on leash for potty purposes. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

An application and home visit/meet & greet are required. A RARE representative (normally the President and/or foster parent(s) will bring the animal of interest to the home in order to ensure the right fit, perform meet & greet and answer any questions, go over vaccination and other vet paperwork etc. An adoption trial may commence at that time, if RARE and potential adopter(s) are in agreement. Please complete the application on our website www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org and we will call you to explain the adoption process in more detail and answer any questions you may have.

*If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 2 hours driving distance due to limited resources and difficulty ensuring the right match, especially if there are already animals in the home.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!

*****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED*****
