My story

Hendrix is a little guy, under 40 pounds, incredibly smart and very, very energetic. Hendrix loves working, exercising his body and his mind. We think he's an Australian Kelpie, and he matches the breed description of smart, energetic, and fairly independent, though he is definitely attached to his friends!

Additional adoption info

Many of our rescued dogs have a history of behavior issues and were in danger of being killed for behavior in a pound or shelter. We take the time to evaluate and provide any needed training before adopting out our dogs, and we're looking for safe, loving homes.

More about this rescue

Our group of volunteers and advocates save rehabilitatable and manageable dogs in danger of being killed at Austin, TX area shelters. By saving the "Final Frontier Dogs"--the 1-2% still being killed--we can help develop best practices for the nation's shelters.
