My story

Peanut is a sweet, silly, sometimes nutty senior with a few manageable medical issues. She's mostly mellow but gets sudden bursts of puppy energy. She's a little shy with new people, but once she's comfortable, she'll show you her silly side. Peanut came to us with a mast cell tumor, which we had removed, and she is on prescription food for her kidneys. Peanut would love a home with adults where she will be the only pet.

Additional adoption info

Many of our rescued dogs have a history of behavior issues and were in danger of being killed for behavior in a pound or shelter. We take the time to evaluate and provide any needed training before adopting out our dogs, and we're looking for safe, loving homes.

More about this rescue

Our group of volunteers and advocates save rehabilitatable and manageable dogs in danger of being killed at Austin, TX area shelters. By saving the "Final Frontier Dogs"--the 1-2% still being killed--we can help develop best practices for the nation's shelters.
