My story

Come meet frog dog!!

We literally have to take one photo of Froggy and we’re done! Frog-dog is roughly three years old. He is some sort of bully mix and he is a little guy weighing in at 45#. By far, Froggy gets the most adoption applications. Unfortunately his needs are not for every household.

Froggy will not go to a home with other pets or children. Froggy gets overstimulated and his energy turns other dogs off. Honestly, Froggy would be happy with his own humans anyway. His food guarding makes it a no go for homes with kids. We have a great system to manage his meals and treats safely, but we will not place him with kids.

We think it’s really important for people to understand that no dog is perfect. We are asking them to fit into our human world. Every dog will have challenges and because we’ve had Froggy for two years, we can show you just how to help him be successful.

Some of the excellent things about Froggy: he has great recall, loves car rides, and makes the most hilarious snorts. Froggy makes us laugh every single day. He is our resident spaz mataz.

Froggy is a hoot and he will make that perfect household very happy. Please apply if you qualify. ❤️

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees range between $50 and $150, depending on the age and size of the dog. Spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, flea treatment, dewormer, and microchip are all included. Prospective adopters must agree to a home visit, have secure fencing and allow their dog to sleep inside at night. Those coming from out of town may submit a vet reference in place of a home visit. All renters need landlord approval. If you already have a dog or two, they must be spayed/neutered and brought to the shelter for a meet and greet. Homes that already have more than two dogs, or any unaltered dogs, will not be considered. Exceptions to these rules may be made in special circumstances.
