Trooper has survived and fully recovered! He was found on Hwy 64 near Murphy, NC, on 2/23/15 lying on his back with his feet stuck straight up in the air. Two women were standing over him, preventing other vehicles from finishing him off. X-rays showed no broken bones. He had a concussion and a bruised thigh and could not stand up. Within days, he had totally recovered. Trooper is house-trained, uses a doggy door, neutered and fully up-to-date on his vaccines. He is sweet, fully socialized with other dogs and likes to play with cats, and will chase them if they run from him. He is a wonderful little dog, about 2 years old and weighing 27 pounds at input - probably up to 30 pounds after one week of regular food. If you want to adopt this handsome little dog and provide a good home for him, please email Ron Stoessell at ronstoessell@gmail.com or call him at 985-630-1613. Trooper was adopted to Jay Mercer of Suffolk, VA on 1/24/15 who already had a rat terrier named Harley.
