Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We will not adopt Pippin to a home with children, no exceptions. We rescued him and at the time were told he was good with kids. He was neglected before adoption. It is important for his potential adopter to know he is unpredictable with children and is a bite risk. He has shown aggression with our older, dog-savvy kids. But ideally Pippin does not want a family, he likes one person, two max.
On to the good things: I adore this dog. He is cuddly and sweet often. We have worked for a year on his aggression. His confidence has soared but it is clear he needs a home with an experienced adopter who can devote time to behavioral issues and a reactive dog.
He cannot be trusted with small animals (kills chickens) or cats. He loves our other dog but introductions are a must. We are taking our time to find his forever home. With the right environment, he will thrive. We have multiple children and with heavy hearts, we are not the family for him.
