My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BONDED PAIR - WILL NOT ADOPT OUT SEPARATELY - Cashmere is a pure bred short hair female Saint Bernard. She was born on 10-1-2012 and granted to me from the Second Chance Rescue of NYC. She was delivered to my door from New Hampshire by SCR .
Cashmere had a home but began attacking the other dogs the owner had. The owner separated Cashmere by locking her alone in the basement of his house. After enough time went by the owner contacted SCR to take her. They advertised her on petfinder.com and I answered the application and was awarded her.
Cashmere is in excellent health. She is great with my pets inside my home but when outside of the house I advise that she wears a muzzle. She tends to go after other animals. This includes, cats, squirrels, O'posums and other dogs. Once properly introduced to another animals she gains trust and will make friends with them.
I have not had my Saint Bernards to regular check-ups or vaccinated. When I first received each dog they had a full check up and were up to date on all shots. This was several years ago.
Cashmere is also on a quality diet from Blue Buffalo. I recommend high quality food. It is necessary for them to have their best health.
I also want to add that both of my dogs are excellent watch dogs and will scare away anyone with their large Saint Bernard Barking.
PS Cliff could use some products for stiff joints. I believe there are certain vitamins they should both have in their diet.
Cliff was born on 1-4-2010. He is a pure bred very large, long haired, Saint Bernard. He has a very sweet and loving temperament and likes all other animals.
Cliff is a rescue who spent the first three years of his life locked inside a crate. He was unable to use his limbs and as a result his back legs and hips are weak. He can not jump. He can not stand up on his hind feet. He IS able to go up and down steps slowly. Cliff needs his teeth cleaned and needs a current rabies shot. He needs to eat quality dog food as he has very loose and runny stool.
Cliff is his original name since he was born...I call him 'Big Boy Cliff' !
Unfortunately the second man who owned Cliff was a heroine junkie and by the time he let me have Cliff there was a lot of damage done to Cliff. He was 70 pounds underweight and had no hair on his body. Cliff's entire body was full of scabs and he scratched nonstop.
With the help of my friend Mark, we brought Cliff back to very good health. He has a full thick shiny coat and a big increase in his weight.
Cliff is neutered and chipped.
Cliff and my other Saint Bernard 'Cashmere', are bonded and can not be separated. They must stay together.
Mark and I do not live together anymore so there is no one here to take care of my Saint Bernards. I am gone 9.5 hours a day at work. I regret having to get them a new home but I have very little money and there are many things that my dogs need that I am unable to give them. One is medical attention : shots, teeth, checkup.
I do however take them to the spa and bathe them every 5 to 6 weeks. I wish for them to have a home where people have the finances it take to allow them the live the longest and happiest life together.
