My story

Meet Colbie! This 5 month old pup found herself dumped at the city shelter by her family because they felt she had too much energy. Crazy right?! Puppy energy is totally normal! Sadly, for Colbie her first family adopted her without thinking of her needs and then left her behind when she became an inconvenience to them. We promised this sweet girl that will never happen again to her. Colbie does love to run and play in the yard but when it is time to come in for belly rubs and scratches she is all about that. We are hoping to find her a family who understands puppy energy is part of owning a dog, a family who is going to provide her with the interaction and exercise she needs and also a family who understands that family means forever. This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The adoption fee of $800 covers spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, health certificate, and air transport. Please email adoptions@caretx.org.
