Look at me!! I am an effervescent, happy, and bouncy little girl! I get into almost everything, and love to explore by touch, scent, and taste! My foster mom says I am a typical 7 month old puppy, except I weigh only 6 pounds, which makes it very easy to squeeze into small spaces in closets, and under furniture. I love all toys, but especially squeaky ones and balls. I used to seek safety and comfort only in a kennel, but within days I have learned that a wonderful, soft doggie bed is just the best! Now I am very happy to curl up there in my new blanket! I have not been able to sleep with my foster mom yet because her bed is too high for a “peanut” like me, but as soon as I learn to go up and down the stairs into her bed, I hope I can try it out! You see, one of my other favorite things is to get lots of human cuddling. I love to settle down into the lap and arms of just about anyone if they are gentle, calm adults. I like children too, but I am way too jumpy for a little child – so I can’t go to a home with young children - and I still like to puppy play bite around feet and hands.
I came from a home with a senior adult who realized that I had way too much energy for her to handle. So now I am looking for a new home that has the energy and time to care for me through my entire life. I will need a class in puppy socialization and basic training, so my new home must commit to doing that as well. I am just about house trained as long as I am kept on a regular, frequent schedule. My foster mom keeps me gated in the kitchen with a washable potty pad on the floor when she is away from home, but in a few weeks I should have freedom in the house. I am healing from a recent spay surgery and being treated for a parasite I picked up before coming in to rescue, but I will be ready for my new home very soon!
Molly is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $470.00 plus $35.37 sales tax for a total of $505.37. Her foster mom would like her adopters to live within 45 miles of Bloomington, MN and would also like them to attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September each year.
