Honey Pepper is a 5 yr old, dachshund/corgi mix. She is dog-friendly, good with kids & adults, good with dog-savvy cats, house trained, great on leash, & loves car rides. She's a happy little dog. She is still recovering from being hit by a car. The bandage is off. She shouldn't go up more than a couple of stairs at a time & no long walks for now. But she is well on her way to being healthy! Honey Pepper is available to a loving, fabulous home!
We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Adoption process includes an adoption contract and home check. Adoption fee for dogs is $350 - 550 and for cats is $175. All of our animals are fixed, vaccinated, and chipped.
If you are interested in adopting or have further questions, please fill out the application at LAAR.ORG under the Adoption Process page. Local adopters only. LA & Ventura county areas.

Honey Pepper, a Los Angeles Dachshund/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Corgi for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Dachshund/Corgi dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Corgi breeders who help with Dachshund/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
