My story

Hello there....

My name is Peeta (Petey) and my siblings and I came out of the Stanislaus shelter in Modesto. We were strays and we don’t even know what happened to our mother. We were small, about 3.5lbs and 6 weeks or so. We would have liked to have more time with mom’s milk, but we’ll eat kibble!!!

We are now about 4 months old and weigh between 20lbs. My brother and sister have both gotten adopted, so now it's just me and my foster siblings. I am a high energy and spunky little guy and like to play with the other dogs that here. Some of them don’t like it and tell me so and I respect that. My foster mom says I'm about 85% house trained, but I still make some mistakes when my foster mom isn't paying close enough attention. I'm also crate trained and have started all my basic puppy foundation training. I can sit, down, place and walk great on leash. I still get scared sometimes when i see something that I've never encountered before, but I've gotten lots of great socialization in. My foster mom is a dog trainer, so I've been in school since I've been here. I wait nicely to eat my food and come out of my crate, so I have a really solid foundation. That's why my adoption fee is $550: it includes ALL the education and learning that I've gotten, my vaccines, a microchip, a getting me neutered when I'm old enough. That is SUCH a great deal!!!!
