Well hello there! My name is Levon! I am a goofy, super affectionate boy with a huge heart and just enough of an underbite to give me an incredible pouty lip. Don’t be fooled though, I am a happy go lucky boy that will excitedly wiggle my butt right into your heart and my head onto your lap. I live in a foster home with two other dogs about my size or smaller, and have done great with them as well as dogs that are much larger than me. I am friendly interested boy with everyone, and if they don’t want to play? Fine by me! I’ll just come hang with my person or sniff around and play with other dogs. I stay in my crate politely while my foster mom goes to work, and so far the promise of a treat or gentle nudge for my crate is enough for me to happily comply. I love to play, and am such a polite player with my foster siblings. However, I also know how to turn it off, and will be happy to snuggle up and chill out on the couch. I also do great on leash when I get to go on walks or adventures! I like to cuddle in the car, but am usually content to lay down. All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.

In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet.

Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis in the Memphis area over 4 months of age is $275.00, a dog under 4 months of age is $300.00 and a cat is $150.00.
Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis to the Nashville area is $325.00. The $325.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area.
Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis to the Chicago area is $475.00. The $475.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Chicago area.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
