Meet Captain, named for Captain America of the Avengers!! This young boy, named Caesar at the shelter, captured our hearts from the moment we saw him in his crate. He was very thin, and very very sad - so unusual for a boxer. Yes, Captain is a white boxer, and our third white boxer in the Canine CellMates program, and we couldn't be happ ier about it! While many people don't know that white is a color that boxers can come in, they are not as uncommon as you might think. Frequently, pigmentation deafness can occur in white boxers - remember our baby boy Thumper? - but Captain has no trouble hearing! He was sick and depressed at the shelter, but he is getting healthier and happier with each passing day! He is a young boy - 15 to 18 months old, and weighs 56 pounds now, although he needs a few groceries to be at his best weight. Optimally he will weigh around 65 pounds when he has filled back out. If you are a boxer lover, this boy just might wiggle his way into your heart!!
