Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tessa is a little sweetie of a dog who is 2 years old and weighs in at 8 pounds. Our best guess on breed is a Cavalier King Charles and Dachshund mix. The King Charles thing fits based on her looks and on the fact that she is every bit the princess, dancing and prancing and wiggling her little doggie butt.
Tessa loves everybody. No, really, everybody! She lives in a foster home with 11 cats and 5 dogs, including one very large dog, and she likes them all. She loves to wrassle with the other dogs, but her favorite buddy in the house is a little blue-eyed kitten named Bradley. Tessa and Bradley are best friends and love to hang out and play together.
Tessa also loves all people. She is a very gentle little lap dog and loves to cuddle. If she can manage to finagle an ear scritch or butt scritch out of it, so much the better. And she will happily roll over and present her tummy for rubs anytime. She happily sleeps in the bed with Foster Dogmom.
As a 2-year old, Tessa has all the endearing qualities of puppies, but she also has her manners intact. She is totally non-destructive. She won’t chew on anything but dog toys. She is house-trained, so long as she is kept on a regular schedule, and crate-trained.
Tessa loves dog toys and will happily assume herself playing with them. She also loves balls and will fetch, though she doesn’t quite understand the concept of bringing the ball all the way back yet. She is also very fond of dog treats.
Tessa would fit well into just about any situation—an apartment dog or a house dog, a single person, couple or family. So long as there are people to love her, she’s a happy girl.
