My story

Summer is a beautiful tortie floof who we rescued over a year ago! She has been waiting for a very patient owner who will give her plenty of time to adjust. She is sweet but very timid. She loves her cat tree, watching people go by, and eating treats. She would do best in a home where there is already a cat. She loves cat friends and they make her feel more confident. Given enough time and patience, Summer will come out of her shell. She is amazing and deserves a home where someone truly gets her and her personality

Since being in foster care, Summer has opened up and spends her days lounging around, playing with her favorite fish toys and snuggling her foster brother, Mr. Claude, and her sister Spring. She loves her treats and will trade pets for them, although not too many! Summer brings her foster mom a toy to play with every morning (she is great at fetch!) and sleeps on her every night. She is such a lover and would do best with her sister and another calm kitty.

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them. We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to: -Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education. -Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs. -Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures. -Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter. -Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs. Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
