Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Thank you for your interest in the dogs of Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary! At this time, due to the Coronavirus, the adoption program at Mackenzie's has been put on hold, and we will no longer be accepting new adoption applications. Please watch our website (www.mackenzies.info) or follow us on Facebook for the most up to date information, as this is how we will announce when we are resuming our normal adoption activities.
We thank you again for your understanding and unwavering support, and want to assure you that our dogs are receiving excellent care as we endeavor through this challenging time.**
My name is Hobbes! I was named Hobbes after Calvin and Hobbes the cartoon...not just for my coloring, but because I'm super sweet and a fun dude too! I was born 4/13/14, so I'm not a puppy anymore, but I'm old enough to have learned manners and to appreciate all the little things that life has to offer! I love swimming (I even have my own little life jacket), love playing fetch (regardless of the weather), love car rides (and I ride like a perfect gentleman) - especially those that end with some ice cream...there really aren't many things I dislike! A staff member at MAS takes me running sometimes and I hold my own pretty well - so don't let my shorter legs fool you, I'm up for anything! Since I'm still a bit of a go-getter with higher energy, I'd be best in an adult home, or a home with older kids or teens for now. If you're looking for a cuddly guy to share in all your adventures, I could be it! Come see me soon!
Meet-Your-match Caninality color is: Orange Busy- Bee!!!
For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas.

Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary is the Midwest's largest no-kill dog sanctuary. As such, Mackenzie's is 'a home along the way,' providing our dogs with excellent and individualized care in all areas (medical and otherwise) and tending to whatever special needs a dog may have. Some of our dogs have special behavioral needs (like fear issues) and will need to build a relationship with the adopter before going to their forever home.
For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas.
