Britney is in a foster home and doing well. The families other dog is not too happy about sharing his home but the family is trying to make it possible for Brit to be fostered until she is adopted. Please, if you have hound knowledge and experience, she might be the girl you are looking for.

Britney is a Harrier Hound. She is a beautiful girl, white, black and tan in color. She is a Medium size dog. She is incredibly smart, very affectionate and good with children. Britney has lots of energy, with high exercise needs. She walks well on a leash with a halti. Her nature is a hunting dog. She is always on guard with a very high prey drive. She can be very possessive of her prey and has snapped at us and started a fight with our dog to guard her catch. She can be very fixated on "her job." She likes to herd.. She has gotten calmer but this personality trait is not working in our home. Britney has high wanderlust. She requires a completely fenced yard. We are on 1.3 acres and have it fenced but she is obsessed with finding an escape. Britney is very vocal. THIS IS COMMON WITH HOUNDS. Unfortunately, Britney was not taken for training and so this situation has gotten out of hand. Whoever decides to foster or adopt her must take her for training.
