ELMO is happy, adorable and tons of fun. He is FABULOUS with doggies and friendly to the max! He is the type of pup who reads other dogs really well and adapts his behavior to make everyone happy. ELMO will play and play with a dog friend who wants to zoom around the yard. At the same time, ELMO is keen enough to know when another pup or human just wants to lounge around. He is a consummate pleaser!
ELMO is the perfect guy to accompany you to the coffee shop, on errands, outdoor activities or any patio in town! He is also a certified professional bed buddy and couch cuddler. He is every bit as sweet as he looks and is always thrilled to be the recipient of attention and affection. He is one of those rare gems who is a fun active dog, without being overly hyper and annoying. This awesome combo is very desirable, but hard to find. He is good in his crate when his foster family is away from home and knows to potty outside. He doesn't currently live with kitties but has been excellent when introduced to them. ELMO is on the lookout for his forever home where he will be your smiling sidekick, playmate, adventure companion and loyal best friend forever.

ELMO is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
His $490 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the Midwest after he is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our Nashville, Knoxville and some New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com). We also use Pet Express Tupelo (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com/) For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
