My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny is a young, female, German Shorthaired Pointer, born October 2018. After purchasing her from a breeder, Penny's owner came to realize that she just didn't have the time necessary to train and exercise such a high energy breed. Penny's new family will need to be very active and be dedicated to training.

Penny is housetrained, crate trained and gets along well with other dogs. She is in need of basic obedience training and leash training. She is, after all, only 8 months old. Training is a must with any puppy.

Penny is unsure of strangers at first, barking and shying away, but never aggressive. Penny loves to play with other dogs, play fetch and run, run, run, and run some more. But, sit down on the sofa and and she will be in your lap. Overall, she is a typical GSP puppy. Penny would do best in a home with another active dog and preferably one where she will not be alone for several hours per day.

Penny is spay, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases. Our adoption process includes an application, interview, and meet/greet with all two and four legged friends in the family. All adoptions are given a two week trial to ensure a good match has been made. Penny's adoption donation is $475 which helps the rescue provide medical care to older dogs or those requiring medical treatment.
