My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CLANCY is a long, lean, handsome, young brown-gray tiger fellow about 2 ½ years old, who is looking for a new home. He was surrendered to the shelter with his brother by an elderly lady who was forced to give up her beloved cats due to her health problems and a move to a new location where cats were not allowed. How sad that this archaic requirement still exists! Since they were not really a bonded pair, the brother, being more outgoing, was adopted quickly.

Clancy is a little shyer and preferred to observe the world from his little hidey-hole, while his brother strutted around and got all the attention. Perhaps a little dominance issue here. Anyway, Clancy is on his own now, and we are encouraging him to interact with volunteers and other cats. He is already getting bolder, and now usually can be found up on top of something, watching. Now is Clancy’s time to shine. Who knows what adventures await? (He is, after all, named after a certain spy novelist.) He is a very sweet kitty; he just needs to develop his confidence. He might do well with another non-dominant cat in the household. Come and meet this delightful young kitty.
