My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vinnie is a senior boy who loves people, snuggles, couches, car rides and a slow walk on leash is ok. He has a condition of his back called spondylosis and right now he needs pain medication once a day with dinner. He was neutered and had dental surgery, he has 3 teeth remaining. He eats dry kibble moistened with water just fine. He takes small pieces of soft treats ery politely and nice. He is very submissive and gets along with my other 6 dogs. He can go down steps great, but has a little trouble going up a full flight. He can go up 3 steps fine. After he gains more strength in his back legs, that will improve. I have seen him improve and fight to go from a shelter stray who was in severe pain with stomach upset so bad he would not eat to a pain free, tummy feeling better, happy and playful boy with the sparkle back in his eyes!! His vision and hearing are still pretty good but not what they used to be when he was a younger pup. He is house trained and knows to go out in the grass. He loves being outside very much.

Dogs will only be adopted to residents of the following: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and DC.

Adopters must agree to take the dog through obedience training within 3 months of adoption (unless the dog is over age 10).

Adopters must agree to keep the dog current on vaccinations and heart worm, flea, tick prevention on a year round basis.
