My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CONTESSA (Tess) is a darling and rare SEAL POINT HIGHLANDER. She is approximately 3 years old, spayed, weighing 9.4 lbs. and has her claws. She is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She has a short, easy to care for mink like coat, expressive and beautiful ice blue colored eyes and of course the loosely curled ears and naturally occurring bobbed tail. She was taken in by a large local shelter and they graciously let SPCR foster her.

Tess is a very special girl! True to the breed she is charming, affectionate, inquisitive and playful. She is a little bit shy to start out with but quickly warms up to those around her and loves to be pet and wants to be where you are. Her second favorite place to be is near water! We often find her sitting in the bathroom sink, hoping that you’ll turn on the water for her. She is 100% with litter box use and the use of the various scratch posts and boxes in her foster room. She is fine with other cats that will not bully her or get in her face. She may be fine with a dog that has been around cats before, given a proper introduction. As friendly as she is, she actually prefers a quieter setting, so a busy active home with young children would be too much for her. We don’t often see this breed in rescue and this charming girl will quickly charm her way to your heart. ADOPTION FEE $350. FOSTERED IN MILWAUKEE, WI.
