My story

Meet Gidget Cat... This sweet girl ended up at a Good Samaritans house with her sister Lily Cat (who is also available for adoption) and both delivered babies days apart. These sweet sisters appear to be around 2.5 years old. Gidget is used to being indoors and is highly socialized. She is great with kids, cats and dogs. She is litter trained and extra sweet and cuddly. Gidget is utd, feline leukemia and aids negative and spayed.

All cats have a $80 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots, dewormer, feline leukemia and aids tested, rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Wags and whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact Parkway Animal Hospital as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Thank you for your understanding.

Why adoption is a great option

Gidget, a Grand Bay Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
