Lacey is a 5-year-old spayed female Sheltie in an unusual bi-black pattern. The bi-black makes her look a little more like a Border Collie than a Sheltie. But her AKC papers prove that she is 100% Sheltie and 100% adorable too. Her health is excellent and she is up to date on all vaccines and microchipped with a Home Again microchip.
Like another little Sheltie in our program, Lacey needs more attention paid to her activity level and to have less kibble in her bowl. At 35#, she needs to lose another 10# to be kinder to her joints and to remain youthful longer. Lots of Shelties, especially the females, get chunky and need our help to keep the extra weight off. More walks, less treats.
Lacey is a very sweet little girl. She will happily trot around the house in the echo of her mom's footsteps. She watches your face with loving eyes (and not only begging for a treat!) and tries to read your thoughts. She loves men and women and other dogs. Kitties are an unknown as well as children, although well-behaved kids are usually accepted by most dogs.
A completed application is our first step toward any adoption. You will find it on our website at www.colliesheltierescue.org.
