My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Hannah.

We can't say enough good things about Hannah! She is just a doll and is so happy to have a wonderful foster home. She loves her people and the dogs she shares it with.

Hannah is a total gem of a dog, sweet and kind as can be, even after people dumped her in her golden years.

Oh, did we mention she can type, put perfect sentences together and appears to have a knack for creative writing? Don't believe us? Take it away Hannah:

"My name is Hannah (“Nana” to my friends), and I am a fabulous mature girl of 7-10 years and 80 lbs. I have a lovely mottled coat of varying shades of chocolate, and my personality is even sweeter. My favorite activities include lying around the house (like, almost all the time), staring at you adoringly and thumping my club of a tail whenever you look my way. And snacks! I love my snacks!

Don’t let my limp fool you. I’m a mature girl, but I still fancy myself a mighty squirrel hunter.

No “accidents” in the house or barking from me, and due to my arthritis, I don’t counter-surf, jump up on your guests or climb on your furniture. No need for long walks or hikes; a stroll down the street is just perfect. I want to meet every person and dog I see but haven’t been around cats yet. Not a mean bone in my body.

I like care rides and load up on my own. I also stroll right into my crate and hang out when needed (but my foster mom hasn’t needed to crate because I’m so good)."

Hannah is on daily supplements and inexpensive medications to help maintain her joints and keep her comfortable. Ask about her if you can help keep this cocoa bear comfortable in her golden years!

This beautiful girl is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and adorable. She may not be a dog you jog with, but she's definitely a dog who will capture your heart, because you'll fall in love with her the moment you meet her.
