My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED
From his current foster.
10 months old. Weighs 76 lbs.
Beau was afraid of a collar and we think he may have had some bad experiences with them. Now we have a body harness and he has adjusted quite well.
His right leg or hip seems to be an ongoing problem , if he sleeps on that side, it takes a while to get moving. He had hookworms but has been treated for it. (SCBC will be getting him checked to see what the issue is with the leg.)
When he came had no hair on his ears, the under part of his neck, his rear end and a few places on his paws. He is being treated for that and the vet took a scraping to determine the cause and ruled out mange. He has no allergies... just a bacterial infection from his previous environment and his hair is growing back healthy.
Beau is so gentle and so sweet. He sleeps all through the night. And oh how he can snore!!!!! He enjoys toys a lot and enjoys chew bones. Literally there is nothing wrong with his temperament.... he is such a joy and loves to lean against you to be hugged.
He plays on the couch upside down and throws his toys. He just stands there and let's us wash his ears and give him baths. His paws are huge. He reminds us of Eeyore ....
He is a lazy, loving bloodhound with an old soul. He loves to play. He likes to carry everything around. He went into my son’s room and pulled out a blanket and dragged it around the house.... including my tennis shoe. He doesn’t chew them up, he just redecorates the house.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting please fill out an application. We require an above ground fenced yard. Currently in TX
