Please meet Eva and Eddie - 9 yr old, brother and sister Yorkshire Terriers! They are incredibly cute and are a perfect combination of small size and spunky attitude. These two have been together since they were born and can’t think of living without each other. They are looking for a new home where they will both be welcome.
Eva and Eddie are small in size but big in personality. They are wonderful companions for folks who love to dote on their dogs and who will walk, play games and rest on the couch with them. They are friendly with new people and with other pups. They won’t be bullied tho - they are courageous and will stick up for themselves if they have to! They are happy living in a big house or an apartment - it’s all the same to them - as long as they get out in the world and have people to love them.
Recently, Eva and Eddie’s people have gone thru a major life change. It has caused them to make many adjustments to their lifestyle and living arrangements. Unfortunately, they have come to realize they can no longer provide the time and attention that Eva and Eddie are used to and deserve. Their very difficult decision to find the pups a new home was made out of love and concern for Eva and Eddie’s well-being.
These two are cuddly little lap dogs - enjoying the company of their people - and the comfort of a soft pillow. If you have a lap - they’ll be on it! (Eva needs to be lifted on and off due to a luxating patella (trick knee) common in small dogs). They are like little shadows and will follow their people from room to room! They are good at staying home alone but would prefer their people to be with them most of the time. When they get to know their new surroundings they may bark at strangers who come to the door but they listen when they’re told to stop. Yorkies are fierce, pint - size protectors so they want to keep their people safe!
Eva and Eddie are quite low maintenance - they don’t eat much, don’t take up much space and they’re not big shedders. But, they will require regular brushing to keep them looking beautiful! They are scared of the sound of the grooming tools so extra care has to be taken when they go to the spa! And they’ll need regular walks and play time. They like to play inside or outside and are happy just trotting around checking things out! Eva enjoys a little adventure now and then so a completely secure fence or a secure patio is a must! Occasionally, Eddie is a little feisty with some dogs, but he’s pretty small and easy to manage! And because of their size, they are looking for an adult only home. Yorkies come from a working class background and although they look fancy, they like a simple, straightforward lifestyle with a regular routine.
Eva and Eddy are bright, lively little dogs who thrive on love and attention. They have unique and charming personalities and provide lots of laughs to the people lucky enough to share their lives. They are lovable and loyal little friends who will be a great addition to anyone’s family.
