My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine waking up in the morning and finding two strange and emaciated dogs dumped on your enclosed front porch. That's exactly what happened with Jethro and Karma. Thankfully the family was able to take them in with the intention to get them vetted and healthy and onto new homes when they were ready. They are ready to start their new journey now!

Jethro can be very aloof when you first meet him. He is very leery of strangers and it takes him some time to warm up to new people. There is evidence that he may have been abused in some way and you need to earn his trust. He is very affectionate and attentive to his foster family. So he will need someone who will be patient with him until he gets comfortable with them.

The foster family also has four of their own dogs as well and Jethro plays well with them until balls are involved. He isn’t very social with the ball and the family gets concerned that a fight may break out. So this is when he is separated from the group. Other than that, he is fine with the dynamics in the home. Jethro is also food motivated so becoming friends will be easy.
Jethro was recently neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines.

While it would be nice to see Jethro and Karma go to a home together, they are not bonded. So they can be separated. If you are interested in this handsome boy, please fill out an application today!
