Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nuna was surrendered to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter after she got into a scuffle and injured the other dog in the home. She was diagnosed with congenital hip dysplasia and the owner felt that she may have had a reaction to pain. We were told one story that the other dog in the house jumped on her, and she turned around and started a fight. The other story was that the dog bit her and she turned around and went after the dog. So we aren't sure what exactly happened. Since being with us, we have noticed that Nuna can be reactive with other dogs when she is near them. While this is something than can possibly be worked on over time, we feel its best that she goes into a home with no other dogs. We are unsure of how she would be with cats.
However Nuna LOVES people and has the sweetest temperament! And she doesn't let her hip dysplasia slow her down. She enjoys going for walks and loves going into the water! Nuna is young enough that she may be able to start supplements and not need treatment for quite some time. She just loves to please her people and wants to be with them whenever she can.
Nuna would make a wonderful addition to a family looking to adopt. Please consider our sweet Nuna and fill out an application today!
