Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am currently in Hancock County, Mississippi, but the good folks at Animal Rescue Front will bring me up north to you and the trip is included in the adoption fee. If you are interested in taking me into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://animalrescuefront.org/forms/
Dexter came into the shelter as a pitiful, skinny, abandoned stray. He has been in a loving foster home for over a month, and has blossomed and thrived. His foster mom writes, " Dexter is super sweet and very social. He loves people and other dogs. He is especially drawn to children. We have 4 dogs of our own, and our female Beagle adopted him and treated him as if he were her own puppy. Dexter is crate trained, and will go to his crate when I say, "go to bed". (He always gets rewarded with a treat, and he will sit for one.) He sleeps in his crate all night, though he is an early riser. He keeps his crate clean, and will make a fuss when he needs to go potty. He always does his business outside when he is taken out on a leash on a regular schedule. He is making progress with leash training, though he does get distracted by the other dogs. (He is, after all, a puppy.) He has normal puppy exuberance, and wants to investigate everything. He loves to play tug. When he's tired, he loves to sleep on my leg. He's learning to 'wait' before we go outside, until I say "let's go". He also waits his turn for meals and treats. He has been very easy to train. He has even traveled with us. We have enjoyed him so much, and we will really miss him. Any person or family will be very lucky to get this baby."
