My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Billy, and I'm a stunningly handsome, sweet, calm, laid-back, playful yet dignified, fluffy flame-point Himalayan/ domestic medium hair mix fella with crystal blue eyes who was born in February 2009. My favorite things are catnip, treats, and soft smelly food! Oh, and I love to crawl in small boxes and bags as well as curl up in purses.
What I like best of all, however, is human attention! I was adopted from Buster's Friends when my human meowmy had just two well-behaved, cat-friendly little dogs. I was extremely happy and loved getting brushed and pampered. I was the apple of my Meowmy's eye and consequently thrived on all of her attention. I wasn't demanding, but I just liked to hang out with her as her constant companion.
However, all that peace and contentment has unfortunately come to a screeching halt in the past few years. Toddler grandkids visit frequently, and now two trouble-making foster dogs always come in as they're rescued and go out as they're adopted. Between the toddlers who want to play with me and the rambunctious foster dogs, my previously quiet home has become very chaotic. It's just too many critters under one roof, and I get grumpy every time a new pair of annoying foster dogs arrives. And sadly my Meowmy has told me that neither the grandkids nor the foster dogs are going away any time soon.
Meowmy has made the difficult decision, therefore, that I would be happier in another, more cat-oriented home -- specifically one in which I'll get spoiled the way she thinks I deserve to be pampered. I overheard Meowmy tell the Buster's Friends' lady, "I think Billy has many more years of healthy life, and he deserves to be in a home where he is appreciated more."
I have to admit that it's awful being the only cat here, and who knows if I wouldn't do well in a home with other amiable cats? I have been friendly with the occasional cat whom I've met over the years even if I've never lived with any. And I might even do well in a different home with older children or gentle dogs who'd leave me alone (like the first two resident dogs did).
At any rate, I'm a real prince and a gem, if I do say so myself. So I hope you'll waste no time in arranging to meet me. Let me mesmerize you with my Frank Sinatra baby blues, and you're sure to take me home with you! Let's write a new chapter in our lives together, okay?
Billy is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Billy, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
