My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maddie needs a new home. After being sick for awhile, her owner, my brother, suddenly passed away.

Maddie is a Australian cattle dog with a bit of kelpie in her. She turned 11 this summer.

For those of you who know cattle dogs, she is loyal, loves to have a job, and wants as much exercise as you were willing to give her. She is a people dog and wants to be around her owner as much as possible. She is basically a house dog and while she goes outside, she has no interest in hanging out by her self and her yard. She likes to sniff other dogs and walk along with them but is pretty shy. She is not comfortable around children. She lived with a young, male, big pit bull recently and did just fine because she is a dominant female dog.

She has basic good manners and training. She doesn't bark excessively but will warn you when someone is coming to the door.
