My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Neptune (“Dog of the Sea”) is a wonderful puppy who will make a fabulous best buddy for any family!

He looks mostly like a Chocolate Lab, but I am sure there is some other breed in him. He is a very handsome pup with stunning hazel-green eyes and a stunning dark chocolate-colored coat.

Just look at his photos – he has such sorrowful eyes for such a happy little rascal! Neptune loves to play and them collapse in a basket of clean laundry – I think he can spot fresh laundry a block away!

This little doll (well, NOT so little doll) is about 7 months old and weighs 33 pounds. We estimate he will grow up to be about 50 pounds, but that is just a guess.

We are calling him Neptune because he is just a full-of-himself pup – he is self-confident, attentive, friendly, affectionate, sweet and playful. Not to mention, absolutely adorable!
This boy LOVES his toys , and when he can't find a real doggie toy, he will play with anything that comes his way from sticks to stones!

It’s no wonder that Labs are the number one family dog in the county – they are known to be great family buddies and gentle, intelligent, active, and affectionate companions.

Neptune is already extremely social – he is so friendly and outgoing, and he’s super good with all my other dogs.

Neptune has lived with kitties his whole life and is perfectly fine with them. He just loves everyone and everything and wants to play, play, and play.

He is completely house broken and crate-trained, and is one of the best behaved puppers I have fostered in my 20 years old taking in homeless critters.

He always comes when he is called, never wanders out of the yard, sleeps throughout the night on his own little bed, and loves to just hang out on a hot day.

He is a fabulously handsome boy and is lots and lots of fun. He’d be absolutely perfect for an active family with kids – he is happy, robust, healthy pup who totally loves his people.

Of course, Neptune’s adoption covers his neuter and all of his shots, including his rabies shot.

Neptune is just puppy, so he would definitely benefit from “puppy school” to be trained. He is very smart, so he will learn very quickly and is already wonderfully well-behaved.

I am a firm believer in allowing people to take a new buddy home for a “sleepover", just to be sure your family, your other pets, and Neptune all get along. Of course, we ALWAYS take out rascals back, if things don’t work out.

To meet sweet little puppy (and maybe even have a sleepover), pls call 858-602-2061 or email crittersandrascals@gmail.com
