Hi My name is Spencer and this is what my foster mom has to say about me!
Talk about total package! Not only is Spencer incredibly handsome, he's also got manners for days. This 1 - 2 year old gentleman walks politely on leash, knows sit, down, wait and take it, and is starting to figure out how to stay. In his foster home he understands that grass is the best place for pottying, and he chooses bones and toys for chewing over items like shoes or furniture. Spencer seems to love interacting with other dogs and is a polite playmate that easily understands what other dogs are trying to say to him. (Though given his age and size, he can get a little pushy sometimes!).
Spencer seems to love every adult he meets. He usually doesn't jump up though he will do a little happy dance that might include a few hops. He doesn't try to grab things off the counter, and when he wants something, like his food bowl, he offers a polite sit. In his foster home he refrained from barking, even when his two foster sisters had to tell the garbage man where to go. He loves the company of people but he's cool to hang out on his own if necessary, either in an appropriately sized crate, or a puppy-proofed room of his own. He likes to end each day with serious snuggles, and will gently reach out and ask for more pets if he feels like he hasn't gotten enough lovin'.
Spencer is a brilliant, sweet, friendly, adorable dog that has a tail that won't quite wagging. His family will be lucky to have him!
