No apartments or condos. He will do best with a young, playful cocker boy or girl companion who can be his pal and a great playmate. A secure fenced yard is preferred. He does not know any better and will jump all over you to get attention or ask you to play with him. He is a nice boy but quite a handful. You will need to work with him.
My name is Rascal. I am a very busy, hyper black cocker spaniel boy a tad over a year old. I was picked up as a stray by NC Animal Control. When no owner showed up for me, the shelter got me neutered and put me up for adoption. I got lucky when a nice lady asked to visit with me, filled out the paperwork and took me home. She had other dogs and thought a playmate would be nice. Turns out, they were older dogs who were not interested in me because they were kind of lay back, and no matter what I did they just didn't like it that I was so active and busy and tried to play with them all the time. When the lady saw that they weren't accepting me, she contacted this rescue to get me a home where I will be a lot happier.
I am heartworm negative, healthy, current on vet care and I am now groomed as I was quite overgrown. I am looking for an active adult only home. No apartments or condos for me, I have a loud bark. I am a nice, friendly, very sweet boy, just hyper, super busy and I will need a lot of attention and playtime with you. I will jump on you to be playful or get your attention so you will need to work with me on this issue. I will do best in a home with a very active, all adult household where there is another youngish cocker spaniel who would love to be my active playmate, a best pal and we can hang out together in the house. Please give me the home that I deserve. As a young pup growing up I was not properly socialized or trained so you will need to work with me on certain issues to help me be a good companion. If you have a young cocker boy or girl that is active like me and you have thought about getting a playful companion and new best friend for them to play with, please fill out an application to be approved to meet me. A fenced yard is suggested to keep me safe when I go outside to play and do my business. I am a good boy and would love to be your very playful, busy, friendly house companion. I would love a 2nd chance to have a great home.
