Fostered in Pelzer, SC

Ava is a 5 to 7 yr old black & tan spayed female weighing 13 lbs. She is up to date on all vaccinations, is on heartworm prevention and is micro-chipped. She is also house trained with the use of a doggie door.

This girl is a trooper who had a very strong will to live after fighting heartworms and pneumonia upon coming into rescue. She is a total sweetheart, even if she does sound like a seal when she barks. She gets along well with the other dogs here in her foster home, not sure about cats, but she didn't react to the cat in the vet's office. Ava wants nothing more than her special someone to share her love and companionship with. She will not disappoint as she has a lot of love to give. She will sit in front of you and beg when she wants attention, or when it's close to mealtime.
